Adelphi have broken up. Here's a message from the band.
"Ryan from Adelphi here, letting you know that we have decided that it's time to move on. It has been a long and winding road, and it will continue to be a long and winding road. Some of the best memories of our lives can be found within the time spent as a band together; however, some of the worst can be found there as well. Ups and downs, as always, with love, we have chosen to separate and pursue our individual desires.
Alex has been working full time and will be headed to Parsons in NYC in the spring, and we wish him success. Tom and I have both been attending the local University and working, making our brains tired in an attempt to find out what we want to do with our lives. Matt has been tearing it up at the Apple Store in Towson, so stop by and give him a hug if you’re around. He’s about yay high and has some skin. You can’t miss him. As for all of the music we never had the chance to release, we will be putting it ALL up on our myspace in the near future.
We will be playing our last show on December 30th at the Recher Theatre in Towson, MD. Sadly, Alex will not be joining us, but our friend Dan Book will be filling in. Nicest kid EVAHHH! Tickets will be $5 and are available via paypal on our myspace (www.myspace.com/adelphi). We will gladly mail them to you or meet up with you locally to exchange cash for a ticket. Merch will be on sale, and we’ll also have copies of our first LP as AdelphiRock that we’d like to get rid of… pop punk to the max.
We are also selling our van and trailer, email Alex for details – alexadelphi@gmail.com.
Good news and music cometh: I have decided to start up a project... We are THE EVERLOVE, and I haven't been this excited about writing music in a long, long time. I’m not sure how serious it will get, but it’s going to be an absolute blast. Tom, Matt, and Dan will be joining me and we will have a few other people in from time to time to contribute to our songs. You’ll be hearing us very soon - We have about eleven songs in the works and are hoping to record them by the end of January. We will be playing a few of these songs at that last Adelphi show too.
To those of you who have supported us, thank you. To those of you who have hated us, thank you. To those of you who are thinking: “wtf is Adelphi??”, now you know, and thank you too! To Drive Thru Records, thank you. To everyone who ever came to a show or bought a shirt, let us stay at their houses, or inspired us in any way/shape/form, thank you.
Keep your hearts open,
Ryan, Alex, Matt, & Tom"
